Corner 28 - The Roast
Corner 28 - The Roast, located at 5124 8th Ave, Brooklyn, NY 11220, is a beloved spot for fans of delicious, tender roast meats. Known for its excellent roast pork, this place serves up generous portions at affordable prices. Their signature roast pork rice box, priced at just $8, is a standout, offering succulent, sauce-covered meat over a bed of fluffy rice. The portions are hefty, ensuring that you get great value for your money.

The roast pork here is known for its tenderness and flavorful sauce, making it a favorite for many regulars. While the restaurant doesn't offer traditional noodle dishes, their focus on perfectly roasted meats makes it a go-to for those craving a hearty, satisfying meal.
The menu also features a range of other roast meats. One popular combination is the three meats over rice, which includes roast pig, roast duck, and scallion chicken. The crispy skin of the roast pig and the juicy, flavorful chicken make this dish a hit. The Shanghai bok choy served alongside adds a refreshing contrast to the rich meats. While the roast duck is good, it isn't the standout option compared to other dishes, but still a solid choice.

Corner 28 - The Roast Reviews
Food: The roast meats here are delicious! We ordered three meats over rice which also comes with Shanghai bok choy. For the three meats, we chose roast pig, roast duck, and scallion chicken. All meats were amazing. The skin on the roast pig was crispy and the meat was moist. The roast duck was good but not the best I've had in NYC. The scallion chicken was very moist and flavorful. I would come back here for their roast meats! Service/Ambiance: This place is more of a takeout spot than a sit down restaurant. They do have two seats against the window, and they charge you $1 extra if you want to sit there and eat. Staff were friendly and brought us our dish when it was ready. I would plan on taking out if you come here. Overall, I would highly recommend this place!
Salivating as I write this review. Hubby and I spent $16 on 2 really delicious rice and meat dishes yesterday. I got the roast pork over rice and he got half roast duck + half roast pig (PORK is the regular kind, PIG comes with the crispy skin). All the meats were really great and whatever sauce they pour on the rice was top notch. The steamed leafy green vegetables that came with the dishes were also perfect. Can't say enough about this place. We loved it so much, we're probably going to get it again today for lunch. This place is cash only, btw!
Great spot for roast meats. The roast pork and honey roasted duck were my favorites.
I don't know how they do it. Everything is so cheap compared to the places here in Southern California! We ordered a roast duck rice and a pound of roast pork. Both the duck and pork were tasty. They also gave a good amount of vegetables. It made for a very good dinner. The Corner was a great find for us.
Update -- the roast pork rice box is 8$, and they have a promotion currently for roast pork by the pound for 9$/lb, which is kind of insane, when you think about it. I prefer their roast pork to other eateries because it tends to be more tender and saucey, and they give you SO SO much in a rice box. It's still my go to after all these years. The only sad thing is that, unlike other Chinese restaurants/cafe's, they don't really do any of the classic noodle dishes.
